Destination 7

The Famous Sydney, Australia

I have already been travelling for quite some time now and have managed to see so many incredible things and experience cool adventures. I've been through the continents of North America and Europe, in which I already visited six places! My trip will end off in the final countries of Ocenia.
For me, it is an absolute must that I go to Australia, so despite the fact that I will be on the place for an extremley long time, I am still going to do it. From the Rome Leonardo da Vinci- Fiumicino airport (FCO) I will take a 25hour, 30 minute flight with Alitalia Airlines and land in the Syndey Kingsford Smith airport (SYD). The flight will cost $1,207 and I will be travelling 10, 136 miles.
I will be staying in Sydney for only 2 days and 1 night as I need to wrap up my trip quickly in the last place of Ocenaia. For my short stay I will be sleeping at the Harbour Rocks Hotel Sydney for $238 where I will have a view of Sydney's famous harbour. Sydney is the capital state of New South Wales and happens to be the most populous city in Australia. People that live there are called Sydneysiders and in 2010 there was about 4.8 million people! Sydney is known for it's spectacular harbour and it's famous landmark, The Opera House.

During my first day in Sydney, although I'll be tired from my long flight, I can't hesitate to get out and explore because my trip will be coming to an end very shortly. I will go to the Sydney Opera House which is a performing arts centre. There are over 1,500 performances every year that fall into the categories of music, art, theatre, dance, etc. It is one of the most popular visitor attractions in Australia and I plan on getting a guided tour to really explain the history and see what all the buzz is about worldwide. After the Opera House, I will walk the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is 440 feet high, 160 feet wide and connects Sydney's central business district and the North Shore.

During my second day in Sydney, I will have a nice relaxing day. I will visit the well known Bondi Beach! It is great for swimming and even surfing which I definitely plan on trying. The beach is 1 kilometre long and if I'm lucky, I can even spot whales, dolphins, sharks or penguins!
